Gifts Given
Continuing our holiday tradition, we joined with local ministry partners to make the season merry and bright for local foster children. This year, you provided 260 gifts for the girls at Gigi’s Cottage and 1,242 for the children (ages 7-11) who are in foster or group homes and take part in Royal Family Kids Camp mentoring clubs and summer camp. SBC has been actively involved with RFKC for more than 20 years and hosted a Christmas party on December 7 where the children received their gifts. Many are removed from homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and your gifts show them that they’re seen, valued, and loved.

Filled Shoeboxes
This Christmas season, you gave 3,341 gift-filled shoeboxes to be delivered to children by Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief ministry. These gifts allow partners and pastors in more than 100 countries to share the Good News of Jesus and minister to children in need. Many of these children have been affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine and disease, and your gifts let them know that Jesus loves and cares for them!

Our Fall session of Rooted ended with an incredible celebration dinner on November 20, bringing together more than 500 participants who shared inspiring stories of how God moved powerfully in their lives! New, lasting friendships were formed, and groups grew stronger as they practiced the seven rhythms of Rooted together in vibrant community. In Alpha this fall, 105 people explored who Jesus is and why He came to earth. They also enjoyed lively discussions around their questions about God and faith. Lives were impacted and many encountered Jesus and His Word for the first time. If you or someone you know has questions about Jesus and the big issues of life, Alpha is the perfect place to talk about them. Our next session launches on February 6. There’s no pressure and no commitment, just friendly people who will listen as you share what’s on your mind and help you process your questions.

Our Children’s Choir has been joyfully preparing to lead worship in Grace Chapel with a special performance of "Come on Ring Those Bells" and several Christmas hymns. With members ranging from 2nd grade to middle school, the choir rehearses weekly to learn singing techniques and worship God through music. Their enthusiasm is contagious as they lift their hands in praise. Their director shares, “Their voices are so sweet, and it fills my heart with joy to see them worship—they truly love Jesus!”

Recently, our talented orchestra gathered at the North Ridge campus to prepare for an upcoming Sunday service under the expert direction of Joe Bubar. Practicing to perform three medleys spanning seven songs, they completed warm-ups and worked alongside the band and vocal teams to achieve a unified sound. “The orchestra serves as a beautiful picture of the body of Christ," said Joe, "with each musician bringing something essential to the whole.”
