Ways to Give

Giving is a response to God’s generosity towards us.

Everything we do and the gifts we give are focused on fulfilling Jesus’ great commission. We are passionate about winning people to faith, building disciples and sending people out into a lost and broken world that needs healing and hope.

IRA Charitable Rollover

Rolling over part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to Scottsdale Bible Church can help reduce your tax bill while supporting your church. If you are 70½ or older, any portion of your RMD can be used to make a gift of up to $100,000 this year from your IRA to help further SBC’s mission.

Making an IRA Rollover Gift Is Easier Than Ever

  • Contact your IRA administrator. With the popularity of the IRA rollover, most administrators provide forms and a procedure to help you make a rollover gift.

  • You can direct a transfer of up to $100,000 to be made this year from your IRA to a qualified charity.

  • You will pay no income taxes on the amount transferred.

  • Note: Because you are not claiming the transferred amount as income, you will not receive an income tax deduction for your gift.

  • Please contact us to let us know how you would like your gift to be used.

Beneficiary Giving

Did you know that you can make a gift to SBC in your will, or by naming SBC as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy?  Simply contact your plan administrator and ask to have SBC (Federal Tax ID #86-0179808) included as a beneficiary in your documents.

  • Please email giving@scottsdalebible.com to let us know that one of the donations needs to be reversed.  If the donation was made on a credit card, it can be refunded immediately.  If it was made on an e-check, the bank requires us to wait for it to be fully processed before it can be refunded. This generally takes 2-5 business days.

  • Because all of SBC’s ministries are fully funded by our General Fund, donations cannot be designated to a specific ministry. You may however donate directly to our Tanzania Project or our For the Valley fund.

  • Your donation to For the Valley does not qualify for the AZ Foster Care Tax Credit because you are donating to SBC and For the Valley funds other initiatives in addition to foster care. To qualify for the AZ Foster Care Tax Credit, you must donate directly to Firm Foundation Youth Home or another qualified foster care organization.
